It’s always interesting to see what big-name brands are up to when it comes to marketing and advertising, and it can give you lots of inspiration and ideas for showcasing your business off at its best, as well as showing you all the latest technology you could potentially use to increase your customer base.
If you’re interested in seeing how you could benefit from using commercial LED displays, take a look at what LG has been up to over in Times Square in New York, using the infamous billboard to exhibit a 3D forced perspective animation to celebrate the start of the school year.
According to AV Interactive, the animation starts with crayons and swirling images dancing around the screen, before the pictures come together to spell out Life’s Good, before the LG logo appears.
Peggy Ang, senior vice-president of marketing with the brand, said: “We are excited to continue engaging viewers in Times Square with this revolutionary new content series on our LG digital billboard.
“We hope that visitors in Times Square are not only awed by the visual splendour of the 3D display, but that they will also be inspired to know that no matter the season, Life’s Good together.”
We recently blogged about anamorphosis – or forced perspective – and how it’s becoming increasingly popular for businesses where advertising is concerned. It works by creating the illusion of 3D depth, except on a flat surface and it’s proving to be a very effective way of engaging with passersby.
It’s all about catching people’s attention immediately and these clever ad campaigns do exactly that, showing just how innovative you can be – and how creative.
