Led Display

Led screens are a great solution for advertising and information displays. Here are some simple tips to bear in mind when designing your screen.

Use high resolution displays

Display resolution refers to how many pixels there are on the screen. The higher the ratio, the brighter and clearer your text and images will be. This means that they will attract attention and be easier to read. Fuzzy low resolution images will have less impact, and could even have a negative effect on your business, as they can look unprofessional.

Use layouts that follow the eyeline

Studies have shown that our eyes naturally move from the top left of an image, and then to the right and toward the bottom. Therefore, always place your most important messages on the top third of the screen, and keep the small print towards the bottom right corner.

It is important to leave a margin around the edge of a screen, just as you would for print, as this avoids the danger of any content being cut off, and makes it easier to read.

Use the right size fonts

Text should be in a clear sans serif font such as Arial or Helvetica. Most digital signs are read from a distance of about 8 ft, so test out the optimum font size yourself before signing off the final design. Text that is too small to read from a distance is a classic signage mistake that can easily be avoided.

Make good use of contrasts

Contrasts of colour and tone help your sign stand out. Bold colour contrasts such as black and red, or orange and blue catch the eye and make text easier to read. If you do not want to use strong contrasting colours on your sign, use light and dark tones to emphasise contrast instead.

Include a call to action

Include a positive call to action on your sign to let the audience know what next steps to take.
