LED screen technology has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years. This means that there are more and more innovative ways in which to use this technology to make an impact and market your business.

In particular, LED screen ceilings are attention grabbing and allow you to create an incredible atmosphere in a variety of venues. To help you work out where you can use this kind of technology in your business, we’ve put together five of the best use cases for these types of screens.

Night clubs and bars

We all know that since the Covid-19 pandemic, night clubs and late-night venues have struggled. However, one way to help your venue stand out is to install a LED screen ceiling in a strategic location.

You might choose to use this kind of display above the bar area to help it stand out to your clients and to make a visual impact. We think these kinds of LED screen ceilings look especially striking when installed above a polished bar that mirrors the images from the screens back.

You’re not limited to a flat screen on the ceiling either. We offer an innovative wave design that really pops.

Entertainment venues

The way in which we socialise in the UK has evolved in recent years, with one trend in particular coming to the fore – competitive socialising. This means that we’ve seen a rise in venues where you can play against friends and family.

This ranges from activities like axe throwing to escape rooms and immersive virtual reality (VR) experiences. As you can imagine, LED ceiling screens can add to the atmosphere in venues offering any of these experiences – and many more.

Imagine an escape room where the ceiling becomes a moving, living part of the challenge. Or a space offering different games and activities that is zoned with the support of LED screens on the ceiling to add to the ambience.

Shopping malls

LED ceiling screens in malls can be used for advertising, but often we see them being used to provide a constantly shifting backdrop to people’s retail experiences. They look striking and certainly fit in with the modern mall aesthetic.

One place that has used this kind of technology to great effect is the Printworks in Manchester. Last year it announced it was installing the largest digital ceiling in Europe, which it uses to project various images and scenes to complement the businesses housed within it.

Although the Printworks isn’t a shopping centre – it’s an entertainment complex – it’s a brilliant example of how you can use this technology to set your shopping mall apart.

Product shoots

This use case is less for the public and more a way for you to ensure you showcase your products to best effect. Travelling to locations for a product shoot can be expensive, especially if you are showcasing something large like a car.

Instead, you could carry out your shoot in a studio environment with the strategic use of LED screens, allowing you to change the backdrop without having to travel far or worry about the weather. What’s more, you won’t have to manage members of the public either.

With an LED ceiling screen, you can control the weather and ensure that any product shoot looks incredible. This also allows you to project abstract imagery rather than real-life landscapes and scenery, giving you far more options to tailor your product marketing to suit your campaign.

Theatrical settings

While it isn’t possible to install an LED ceiling in every theatre setting, there are plenty where this can be done and in doing so add to the experience for both the audience and the performers.

Using LED screens for performance backdrops has become more commonplace in recent years and it’s clear why given their versatility. But now imagine pairing that with a ceiling screen that allows you to create a truly immersive environment for a live performance.

Our LED ceiling screens are incredibly lightweight – and just 63mm in depth. This makes them more versatile than heavier options. Our screens are also completely seamless, which means you won’t lose the illusion of the scene due to a line running through the picture being projected.

These are just some of the many use cases for LED ceiling screens – we can share many more. Given that these screens can also be controlled remotely via the cloud, they are an incredibly versatile option that has applications for many businesses and can be used in a range of settings.
