Material Source Studio Indoor 2mm LED Screen, Meeting Spaces & Audio
Material Source Studio is a brand-new concept serving the architecture and design community through an inspirational hub. It puts on show world-class products and materials to suit every project, from hospitality, workplace, and healthcare, to residential, retail, education and the public realm.
We were asked to provide a complete AV solution including Theatre presentation space, CPD Studio, Video Call Meeting Spaces and Podcast Studio. By definition the space is used by a wide range of people, this provided a challenge where every system was required to work with any device that may be brought in. Ease of use and the ability to Plug & Play were crucial in this project.
The Theatre
In the 80-seat theatre our aim was to provide an unrivalled viewing experience. Our fantastic Pixite® 165” Indoor Series LED Screen was the perfect choice in our 2mm pitch – a choice popular in high-spec finished building projects. Boasting HDR, 16 Bit Colour & a total depth, including all framework, of only 62mm – one of the thinnest solutions on the market.
The screens source can be easily switched between the on-stage lectern or back stage rack control space, automatically switching over the audio source simultaneously.
Low profile, optimum positioned Audac speakers were coupled with time delayed Audac infill with Powersoft amplification to provide a spectacular all-round system; from presentations to film screenings. The theatre audio solution was designed with a Symetrix DSP including touch screen mixer to allow easy setup of all the Sennheiser Lapel and Radio Mics.
CPD Studio & Meeting Spaces
All of the Meeting Spaces were setup with Vestel 65” Displays, including a 4K resolution and 24/7 runtime. Their inbuilt wireless casting & HDMI wakeup to tie in with our Yealink devices made them the perfect display for the Meeting Spaces.
In the CPD Studio we provided a Yealink 4K PTZ Camera Teams system with Wireless Microphones & Soundbar. These are controlled seamlessly from an 8” Touch Panel which in turn enables wireless & wired content sharing.
The remaining three Meeting Spaces were kitted out with Yealink A30s & A20s with Wireless Touch Panels for a clean & easy to use approach. The inbuilt microphones with AI-based audio filtering create a magnificent ease of use & a fast, easy way to setup a Teams meeting with no need for additional laptops or devices.
Podcast Studio
We provided a four microphone/headphone Podcast Studio setup, each with individual level control. A separate PC in a control room loaded with DAW software is used to make high quality, professional recordings.
